Jim Ladd Freeform Rock DJ. Arrived in Rock & Roll Heaven Dec 17, 2023. A Collection of news sites honoring him, on the web.

I APOLOGIZE, THE LINKS ARE NOT SHOWING UP OR WORKING, BUT THEY ARE THERE IN THE ROUGH DRAFT,( I am baffled and, tired) So, I am leaving this as is since the words and pics are good, and there. The titles of the stories of the links are there, but they are all condensed. .............................................................................................................................. I didn't feel right coming on tonight empty handed, so I researched and compiled this list of links of different news sites on the internet who took the time to acknowledge Jim Ladd, Freeform Rock DJ, The Legend. The Lonesome L.A. Cowboy. My Shaman and my therapist. His themed musical sets combined with his musical genius, and knowledge of music itself, never has and never will be, replicated by another. I am glad to have been his SpyderRogue and part of The Tribe, the Loyal Listeners of Jim Ladd. We are just like Dead Heads, we followed Jim Ladd everywhere he went. Once you found him and he made it into your speakers, you were hooked. Many of us have been listening faithfully, over multiple radio stations, for decades, some up to 50 years loyal. Now that tells you this man was blessed with a talent not many possess. Rest In Peace My Friend. You will be missed, but NEVER forgotten. The Tribe will keep you alive, there are many of us who have transcribed and or recorded 100’s , if not 1000's of his 4-5 hour radio shows over the years. I still have like 50 Vans shoe boxes full of cassette tapes from the late 1990's early 2000's. I was a junkie for him and his craft. I transcribed his shows, and was the one who was the official poster of Jim Ladds Blog on Myspace. I posted the setlists for Headsets every week with visual images that flowed with the theme. I also transcribed Fridays nights show of “T.O.C”, Theme of Consciousness. Listeners were given a theme, a week in advance, and call in and/or post to Myspace their requests to go along the theme. This one night a week, it was %100 listener requests and Jim would collect them thru the week and the night of . With his fucking magical touch, he would manage to pair songs up in 3-5 songs per set ,that went together beautifully lyrically, and rhythmically. Most times, When you actually listen, you can hear a story being told with each set he has ever played in his 50 yr DJ existence. Many times there is a story that has a beginning, a middle and an end. He had all of this sound and lyric knowledge stored in that head of his, and he could look at a list of 50 songs and pick out groups of them , that will just flow together like fish in a stream. Ohh and he Was The King of The Segue. When he played sets of songs he could make them flow together as one song? When you can’t tell when one track ends and the next begins. He was The Master at this. I truly love you all. We have a wonderful in common trait, and that is a Love for one of the greatest Radio Disc Jockeys to ever exist, Jim Ladd . Hugs from me to you xoxo SpyderRogue xoxo I also Run “The Tribe” fan page on Fb, and The Jim Ladd Listening Room, Group page, which I created to give us a place to post images while Jim was live on air, to go with the songs on at that moment. Puck also helps run that page, and he is the Lead artist on Most of the Jim Ladd art you have seen on FB, and much of it from the Myspace days. I am also an Admin on the Group page with Eileen M. “Fans of Jim Ladd- Freeform Rock DJ - SiriusXM Deep Tracks 308" Jim Ladd Nov 22, 2019 (FB Post) Friends are FOREVER in this Tribe!
